Usta Kababgy Austin

I recently dined at Usta Kababgy, and I was quite pleased with the Middle Eastern cuisine they offered. The chicken sheesh was exceptional, and the falafel wrap was outstanding in terms of taste and quality. The only downside was that the place could be a bit cleaner. However, considering the delicious food, Usta Kababgy is a great choice for Middle Eastern fare.

This was just what we needed after a long day of outdoor activities. I wanted something lighter so opted for the house salad, soup, and the waitress was kind enough to allow me to order just one chicken kabab. My husband ordered the mix plate with Adana and Iraqi kebabs. All the kebabs were tender and infused with just the right amount of spice. We did end up going close to closing time and they had run out of rice, but the fries were good as well. The soup and salad were larger portions than I was expecting, but both had very good flavor. They brought us two pieces of bread and had complementary tea. Very nice restaurant!

This place is LEGIT. I thought Austin didn’t have good Mediterranean food, I was so wrong. Everything was spiced really well, ugh…. All the kabobs were fire. I’m drooling thinking about them. Did we talk about the pita break the SIZE of TEXAS? They were so delicious!!! Freshly made pita bread that’s chewy like a naan texture on the side and CRUNCHY in the middle. What on earth is going on in my mouth??? What sorcery is this??? Don’t forget to ask them for their exquisite garlic sauce. Took me back to Morocco. It’s the same consistency. Super thick, garlicky, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Everything was amazing. We will be regulars from now on. It’s not a place for a dinner date though, but the atmosphere is nice, really strange to have the combination of Mexican food in there but I digress…

Great food. Friendly service. We went late night. The menu that they have is different from what you see online. And some items are only available on particular days. Their hummus is really tasty and the pita bread was big and freshly made(they know what they are doing). Kabab was delicious and not spicy so kids can enjoy it. They had lentil soup that the server offered to our kids and they loved it. They didn't have the Arabic tea. They have free tea. A counter with hot water and sadaff tea bags. It was good too. Second best place I like after Leyla's Kitchen on Hamilton pool road.

Absolutely delicious! Every single thing we ordered was amazing, and this is probably the best halal spot I've been to in Austin. I can't enough of the hummus and the kebabs, the tabbouleh was so fresh and herbaceous, and I can't wait to try other things on the menu. We got our order to go, and everything was well packaged, but I'm looking forward to coming back and enjoying a meal in the restaurant.

It’s such an amazing experience with their new location, with different kinds of cuisines, i like the appetizers and the kabobs, I like the customer service and the delicious Iraqi bread from the oven ‘fresh and crispy’ I liked the Iraqi kebab, and the ‘Akawi zaatar’ And my favorite ‘baba ghanoch’ eggplant:. W rundberg street & north Lamar Blvd The chicken tikka and the lamb Shiah kebab are amazingly delish, with hummus ‘side’ and the garlic ‘sauce’ 😋 The desserts as amazing as well, the baklava and the other sweets, are so fresh and so crispy taste, if you like it to be heated or you like it room temperature , it’s even more delusions.. The watermelon 🍉 juice is one of my favourite beverages ✌️ It’s delicious dish for the chicken tikka and the lamb Iraqi kabab, I definitely liked it, I recommend it with ‘ baba ganouch’ appetizer.. yum
